I am experimenting with diluting this slightly. At 50% it is a very pretty thing, but at 75% it is working well as an everyday business ink in a Japanese Fine nib! So far, three days in, I've had two compliments on the pen (I managed to get a Gin Martini on points!) and no (philistines!) comments on the ink - but, as you say, no-one raising an eyebrow at a purple ink is quite an achievement!
